Canadian Agri-Food Policy Institute Announces Board Leadership at Annual General Meeting
[Ottawa, ON, Sept. 6] – The Canadian Agri-Food Policy Institute (CAPI) welcomes new board members following its Annual General Meeting.
Chantelle Donahue has concluded her term as Chair of the Board of Directors. Under her stewardship, CAPI has transitioned to a new business model to ensure the longevity of the organization and enabling meaningful work that will advance Canadian agri-food policy. Her dedication and leadership have been instrumental in advancing CAPI’s mission and initiatives.
Rory McAlpine, a senior executive with extensive experience and commitment to the agri-food industry, has been elected as the new Chair of the Board of Directors.
“Ms. Donahue has left CAPI in a very good position,” says McAlpine. “Her leadership will be missed, as she has left an incredible legacy in all that she did to advance CAPI’s mission.”
Along with Donahue, CAPI thanks Kim McConnell, Stephanie Hamelin and Julie Bissonette for their valued contributions towards the organization’s progress and achievements.
Three new members have been appointed to the board.
“As we move forward with fresh insights from our new board members, CAPI remains committed to fostering a prosperous, productive and growing agri-food sector in Canada,” says Tyler McCann, CAPI’s Managing Director. “We look forward to continuing to add value and fill gaps within the agri-food policy ecosystem.”
The CAPI board welcomes:
- Stuart Person, MNP’s National Leader of Crop Services from Edmonton, Alberta;
- Dori Gingera-Beauchemin, who spent 44 years with the Manitoba Ministry of Agriculture; and
- Paul Lecomte, agr, Directeur general, Fonds d’investissement pour la relève Agricole, from Saint-Romuald, Quebec.
