10th annual Canadian agri-food policy conference (CAPC)

The Canadian Agri-Food Policy Institute (CAPI) is proud to be a sponsor at the 10th annual Canadian agri-food policy conference (CAPC).

Since it was first held in 2011, the Annual Canadian Agri-Food Policy Conference (CAPC) has become a premier national policy outlook for the agri-food sector. Conference attendees and presenters consist of a blend of distinguished scholars and industry stakeholders with knowledge of critical issues and potential policy solutions facing the agri-food system in Canada today.

This conference addresses contemporary issues and potential policy solutions facing the agri-food system in Canada today.  The key issues to be discussed include : (1) the risks and benefits of trade with China; (2) GM Labeling; (3) food security on First Nations; (4) African Swine Fever; (5) enhancing competitiveness in the Canadian Agri-Food Sector; and (6) cutting edge research on policy matters and more.  In addition, all conference participants will have the opportunity to participate in a post-conference workshop designed to promote networking to address these challenges. Importantly, student research will be promoted throughout the conference in terms of a poster competition and presentations.
