PROJECT 6a: CAPITAL INVESTMENT IN CANADIAN FOOD PROCESSING
Being competitive and supporting the drive to be innovative requires investment. This report examines the trends and nature of investment taking place in food processing, both the positive and negative shifts taking place and from the perspective of foreign direct investment here and Canadian direct investment abroad. The report also comments on the implications of the changes in terms of the changing trade balance in secondary processed food.
